Joy Wilmouth, M.S., CCC-SLP, LSLS Cert. AVT is a Speech Pathologist, Listening and Spoken Language Specialist and Certified Auditory Verbal Therapist in private practice. She provides Auditory Verbal therapy, aural rehabilitation, speech therapy and parent coaching services to families in the US as well as internationally via teletherapy.  Joy received her undergraduate degree from New York University in communication disorders.  She then graduated  from University of Texas at Dallas with her masters in Speech Language Pathology.  She became a Certified Auditory Verbal Therapist and has been practicing for the past 20 years. Joy has also served on the Cochlear Implant and Hearing Loss Team at Tufts Medical Center in Boston, MA, as well as in both public and private schools across New England.

Joy is certified by the governing boards at the American Speech Language Association, as well as A.G. Bell.  She is licensed in several states in New England and along the east coast.

Sound Speech & Hearing was founded in 2003 by Joy Wilmouth in Plymouth, Massachusetts.  Over the years the practice has reached hundreds of children and adults to support each individual's basic right to communicate effectively.  Today, the practice is both in-person and online via Telehealth.
